65 “Arttitude” of ISI Denpasar exhibition
Visual Communication Design Student of ISI Denpasar exhibited their 65 artwork of paintings and three dimensionals instalation with “Arttitude” theme at Denpasar Junction Bali for six days up to Sunday (February 21).
Committee vice head of this activity, Gung WS, when the opening of this exhibition, on Monday explained that “Arttitude” comes from the word “art” means expression and “attitude” means opinion, behavior or personality.
“Our friends artworks exhibit here are paintings on the canvas, poster and three dimension installation. Overall has a meaning to save the earth and make it a better place,” he said.
Gung also confessed the idea of those artworks comes from the real fact toward earth condition nowadays that went under a change, physical and non-physical.
Varied of natural disaster issues due to the human habit toward their own environment, such as illegal logging, randomly thrown the factory waste, water and land pollution that cause the global warming.
“Our artwork exhibition here tend to feature an invitation for the human being to love the nature more and doing such a forest rehabilitation, protect the mount spring as far as to anticipate sea pollution,” he said.
Gung WS said that his party exhibition also held a competition, for instance poetry, photography, low rider, drawing and poster competition.
“In this occasion also we held workshop themed recycle paper and brush at photoshop,” he said.
This “Arttitude” exhibition is planned to be held routinely at least one in two years, but with different them suits to the recent topic develop at that time.
“The next exhibition topic will different each other, it depends with the social issue of that time,” said Gung WS.
Meanwhile, the exhibition curator, Jengo Paramartha, said that the theme taken for this first exhibition is creative enough. It means that this exhibition also suitable to be held at mall and not merely at special places such museum or gallery.
“An exhibition at the shopping centre showed creativity and ability to synergize with the products sell by the company at mall,” he said.
He viewed that in the future such exhibition at public location like cafes need to conducted more frequently. Thus, make our values of art will approach the visitors at the shopping centre.
“Look at the big cities in the world like Jakarta as well as in Australia, Singapore and other big cities in the world, this kind of exhibition is nothing rare to be seen. Since art has no limitation in term of time and space,” said Jengo Paramartha who is also a cartoonist.
