September 2011 for Bali Electricity Fulfillment
An effort to fulfill electricity power supply in Bali is still waiting for the application of underwater cable development in September 2011.
“Material to develop underwater cable still need further preparations and waiting for the weather around Bali Strait becomes conducive on September-October next year,” said PLN Director, Dahlan Iskan on Monday.
Met by ANTARA in the middle of meeting with the president at Tampaksiring Palace of Gianyar Regency, it is mentioned that electricity supply in the area of international tourism destination could gain 60 megawatts additional power in the middle of 2010.
“It is means that we could abolishing rotating blackout and perhaps could fulfill small portion from thousand of waiting list in Bali,” he said.
According to Dahlan Iskan, underwater cable development that had been went through tender process still couldn’t realize this year. It is due to the preparation material and supporting weather condition.
If the underwater sea cable at Bali Strait has capacity around 200 MW entering electrical system in Bali then thousand of waiting list in Bali could be fulfilled.
Thus, for electrical system in Bali had applied international standard, then Bali would able to give complete and satisfactory service, Dahlan Iskan added.
