Japanese Tourists Want Stay Longer in Bali
Request from several Japanese tourists to Perhimpunan Hotel and Restoran Indonesia – Indonesia Hotel and Restaurant Association – to have holiday or stay longer in the Island of God welcomed positively by the head of Bali Tourism Agency.
Head of Bali Tourism Agency, Ida Bagus Kade Subhiksu in Denpasar, Wednesday (May 5th) said that he welcomed positively Japanese tourists request for the lengthened of their stay in Bali.
But, according to him, the visa extension police is considered as the central government authority.
“In Relation with that wish, we will coordinate with central government. Whatever the decision from the central government we will respect it,” he said.
After achieved several South Sumatera Council member, Subhiksu said that tourists; lengthened stay would impacts positively toward tourism development in Bali.
“Number of foreign exchange from tourism division also would raise and besides there is also a probability that among them there are people who interested investing in Bali or conduct exploratory in order to open business in this island,” he said.
Some tourists from Japan asked for PHRI Bali propose their visa extension from three months visiting into three years visiting.
The chairman for PHRI Bali, Tjokorda Artha Ardhana Sukawati welcoming well that Japanese proposal.
“We will coordinate it first with the central. Hopefully there is any regulation for the extension of stay for tourists in Bali,” he said.
