World Marketing Museum Build in Ubud
A museum which will exhibit the profiles of world-class companies will soon build in Ubud, Gianyar Regency that will also stand as a new tourism attraction in Bali.
The first stone laid for “Museum Marketing 3.0” development is conducted on an area of 1.000 square meters at the complex of Museum Puri Lukisan Ubud in Gianyar Regency on Sunday night (May 30). Head of Dewan Pertimbangan Daerah (DPD), Iman Gusman, even attended that event.
“This marketing museum will become the first in the world. In the future the visitors of this museum could take the benefit as they can learn the marketing technique applied by those successful world companies,” said Irman Gusman.
The first stone lying event for the development of Marketing Museum 3.0 also attended by Gianyar Regent, Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, Kuntoro Mangkusubroto and hundreds of participants from international marketing conference from varied countries in Asia, Australia and Europe.
Ubud was choose as the location for Museum Marketing 3.0 says Irman Gusman merely because since this place long, has been known for its natural beauty, in addition, there are lots of art galleries and music as well as dance performances in this area.
“World class figures like Antonio Blanco, Walter Spies and Arie Smith came, taught and lived in Ubud,” he said.
He conveyed his appreciation toward that museum development and hoped it could strengthen Bali’s position as world tourism destination.
The museum existence latter hoped could support the effort in raising local and foreigner visitors. Thus, Bali will become the destination for those who are interesting with marketing which at the same time also add its tourism appeal.
Quoted from a book written by Hermawan Kertajaya who states Marketing 3.0 as the advance marketer in which its economic activity not only limited to product and business relation but also based on moral values and human spirit.
Irman Gusman believe the museum that will be finished in 2012 could become a medium to achieve MDGs, reduce poverty, unemployment and raising world prosperity.
Meanwhile, Hermawan says that in the future the development of Museum Marketing 3.0 will combine product and human spirit. “Just like what I’ve wrote in my book that there is preface from President SBY, explained how honesty values protected marketing knowledge,” he says.
Indonesia especially Bali, says Hermawan, is a world spiritual symbol. “Latter in this museum, there will be experiences stories from varied cases happened to many world class companies. How a company whose applied honesty values run their business, here is the place where the visitor could learn a lot,” he said.
He also added that in Ubud since long time ago has been known for applying world marketing principals such honesty and hard work.
