Dewa Bujana and Gita Gutawa will enliven “Gempita Gianyar” – Gianyar Euphoria – annual festival held in Ubud art village on July 2-3 2010

Arief Senoaji, one of Gempita Gianyar committee in Denpasar, Wednesday (June 16) explained that those two famous musicians will perform on July 2nd 2010 at Astina Field Ubud.

“Dewa Budjana will perform as music guiding collaborating with Gita Gutawa, Ayu Laksmi as well as Balinese dance maestro Ketut Rina and Oka Dalam. Around 150 dancers will perform in that festival starting from 09.00 p.m.,” he said.

Besides, that activity also enliven by “Ubud Street Bash” carnival together with Balinese traditional dance performance, which for the first time held at Ubud main road. Around 1.000 people will participate in that activity.

“The carnival held on July 3rd in the evening will presenting seven traditional dances together accompanied with Bali Gamelan from seven districts in Gianyar and performing 25 designers with their weaving collections,” he said.

Those designers are Chossy Latu, Denny Wirawan, Denny Wirawan, Deden Siswanto, Ivan Gunawan, Era Soekamto, Barli Asmara, Syahreza Muslim, Ali Charisma, Ari Seputra, Ade Sagi, Danny Satriadi, Oscar Lawalata, Angelic Wu, Dina Midiani, Dwi Iskandar, Enny Ming, Lenny Agustin, Malik Moestam, Monika Weber, Yenli Wijaya, Oka Diputra, Putu Aliki, Sofie, Tude Togog, Tjok Abi, Taruna K Kusmayadi and Thomas Sigar.

Arief who accompanied by another committee, Bayu Rahanatha said that this festival is also Ubud form of gratitude toward an award given to Gianyar as “The Best City in Asia” from “Conde Nast Publication” US.
